The substitute teacher will be responsible for following lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks, and utilizing a variety of instructional and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional levels of students.

Substitute paraprofessionals shall possess a high school diploma or GED. The substitute paraprofessional will be responsible for following lesson plans and supervised by a licenced educator to use a variety of instructional and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional levels of students.

Substitute Hiring Process
- Complete chosen application and required CORI form - bring to the central office.
- Central office will submit CORI request. If approved:
- Application is sent to school principal(s).
- Principal contacts applicant for an interview. If approved for hire:
- Applicant makes an appointment with Payroll Dept. to fill out paperwork and learn about our substitute software program.
- Receive an email from Payroll Dept. with log-in information.
- Begin substituting in the Leicester Public Schools District.
**Leicester Public Schools requires all substitutes be fingerprinted within three weeks of hire.**
