QUALIFICATIONS: The BCBA shall be certified as a Special Education Teacher; shall possess a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university; shall possess an educational background that includes documented study in the design and implementation of educational programs for students with autism and social-emotional disorders; shall be credentialed and shall maintain credentials through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, and shall possess at least two years of successful teaching/experience in a special education setting as a BCBA. The BCBA shall have knowledge of special education regulations and processes, experience in training teachers and other staff, and experience directing work related to student behavior and performance.

Substitute Hiring Process
  1. Complete chosen application and required CORI form - bring to the central office.
  2. Central office will submit CORI request. If approved:
  3. Application is sent to school principal(s).
  4. Principal contacts applicant for an interview. If approved for hire:
  5. Applicant makes an appointment with Payroll Dept. to fill out paperwork and learn about our substitute software program.
  6. Receive an email from Payroll Dept. with log-in information.
  7. Begin substituting in the Leicester Public Schools District.
**Leicester Public Schools requires all substitutes be fingerprinted within three weeks of hire.**
